In October 2009, the International Olympic Committee will select the host city for the Games of the XXXI Olympiad. We are proud to be part of the team assisting the Doha 2016 Bid Committee with the submittal of their Application File to the IOC in January 2008.

The Application File marks the first phase in the IOC procedure leading to the election of the host city for 2016 and was developed to respond to the IOC Candidature Acceptance Procedure questionnaire.

Our specific emphasis was on surveying existing competition venues, recommendations for new venues and assisting the Qatar Olympic Committee in distinguishing between Olympic and legacy venue requirements, relying on our experience and using the IOC Design Standards for Competition Venues to analyze technical feasibility, competition format and legacy venue requirements.
